User interface (UI) design is the process in which a designer is required to make interfaces in computerized devices or software with a deep focus on looks or style. UI Designers (Lead) aim to create designs which users find easy to use and pleasurable. UI design most commonly refers to graphical user interfaces but sometimes it also includes others, such as voice-controlled ones. The user interface is usually the graphical layout of an application. It consists of the buttons which users click on, the images, sliders, the text they read, text entry fields, and all the rest of the items with which a user interacts. This also includes screen layout, interface animations transitions and every single micro-interaction.
Any sort of visual element, interaction, or animation must all be designed. This job of designing all these elements falls to UI designers. They decide what the whole application will look like. It is only their responsibility to choose color schemes and button shapes. Moreover, they choose the width of lines and the fonts used for text. UI designers create the look and feel of an application’s user interface and they are concerned with aesthetics. It’s up to them that how they make the application’s interface attractive and themed appropriately to match the purpose of the website or app. That means they need to make sure that every single visual element feels united, both aesthetically and in purpose.
UI Designers (User Interface Designers):
User interface designers are basically responsible for how the product is laid out. The UI designers are in charge of designing each screen or page with which a user interacts. UI designers create an interrelated style guide and they also ensure that there has been used a consistent design language across the product. They maintain consistency in visual elements and also define behavior for example: how to display error or warning states. These things fall under the purview of a UI designer. So, we can understand the role of a UI designer as building upon and expanding the Graphic Design definition and it relates to the way the things we use and interact with the look.
